Sunnyside is a homely self contained private apartment. It was originally built as an annexe by the previous owners, and apart from one step to access the front door, is all one one level. Our apartment is centrally heated and includes all electricity charges within the tariff.

It has a south facing aspect and attracts sun for much of the day, hence it's name, making it a bright and warm place to stay. We are situated on the edge of the village on a quiet un-adopted road within easy access of all village amenities. The village has a couple of pubs serving good food and two general greengrocers and a post office.

Sunnyside's accommodation comprises of:


The well equipped kitchen is accessed from the main hallway and has a well stocked cutlery and crockery cupboard, and a fridge, cooker, microwave, spindryer and clothes-airer plus ironing facilities. Guests also have access to the owners washer dryer should it be required.


The lounge/ dining room is comfortably furnished with a cottage style suite and a pine dining set for two. The dining area is conveniently situated at the side of a serving hatch from the kitchen. The lounge has a colour TV/video and radio plus a selection of maps and books for local walking alongside some reading which guests are welcome to use. Large patio doors open straight out onto the private garden.


The bedroom has a beautiful and comfortable pine bed which comes compete with duvets pillows and fresh bed linen for your stay. There is ample storage space and a dressing table with mirror to spruce yourself up after a day out walking.


Sunnyside's bathroom has a toilet, basin and shower, it also comes complete with fluffy soft towels for your stay. The bedroom has a lovely view of the garden.


Outside, there is a private south-facing patio area which is accessible from the lounge/diner patio doors. There is a lovely view over the churchyard to the hills across Bradford Dale. We have a collection of old stone troughs and old farm implements in the garden. It is a quiet and tranquil place to sit and relax and enjoy the scenery. We also have fresh eggs from the few chickens we keep in the garden. If you have never tasted fresh eggs, you are in for a treat.

We have off street parking for our guests on our driveway, so you can walk and enjoy what the countryside has to offer right from your door step without needing the car!


We prefer non-smokers and we cannot accept pets as it would upset our cats, chickens and guinea pigs!
